Thanks Richard.
Thanks Dave. My Granddad was 24 Bn and blown up just before San Michele. Wounded but not killed so he was shipped home. I was hoping someone would mention the incident but no luck. Never mind.
An enjoyable episode.
I wonder if he was wounded in the same shelling that took Alan Ambury’s legs?
So pleased to have come across this recording
My grandad Brynn Hughes never liked to talk of those days, so thank you for sharing and getting my stubborn ol pops to share.
My pleasure Tania! He’s a great chap!
My Grandfather’s cousin, Cpl Bernard Hector Graham Curry was KIA in 1 January 1945. He had joined 24 Bn in late 1944. I would love to hear any recollections about him or mentions in these great recordings.
Do you have a tapescript of this?
What do you mean by tapescript? Do you mean a written transcript of the audio? If that then no, sorry.
Hello, fabulous podcast.
How do I access the file for Peter/Evan Brown as my interest lies in the 7th anti-tank
Cheers
